Access to Referral Letters:

In line with the Best Practice in the NHS, we now offer patients copies of referral letters made on their behalf to consultants. If you would like a copy of a referral letter, please tell the doctor who is making the referral and the letter will be available for you to pick up at the relevant reception in 10 working days.

Patients have a right to access their own medical notes and this is a separate issue. Copies of your medical notes may be obtained after the relevant consent forms have been filled in. There will be a charge for photocopying of this.
